What a journey it has been so far! A few years ago, the concept of Schnapps Idea was born during one of the many Victorian lockdowns.
Exactly one year ago we were officially ready to start: we had received our license and our still was installed. From this day on we did not have one regret starting a family business. We met the best people, tried lots of new things, laughed, cried and we are looking forward to what experiences we will have in the next years.

We are a family-owned small batch distillery with origins from the Black Forest region in Southern Germany, where traditionally fruit spirits or brandies are produced. This heritage and focus on tradition is what we want to bring to Australia. We produce everything by hand and in small quantities and we only use original, traditional recipes. The result is an exceptional Schnapps that holds a hint of the German spirit in each bottle.
